1. Information we collect
This tool requires no account and collects no personal information. Everything you type into the card — the receipt title, the recipient's name, every line item and price, and the footer message — is processed entirely inside your own browser. It is not transmitted to us, not stored on a server, and never received by us in any form.
There is no backend. The site is a set of static files plus JavaScript that runs on your device. The card is drawn on an HTML canvas locally and the PNG is generated locally, which is why the download works with no network round trip. We could not produce your card contents if we were asked to, because we never had them.
2. Cookies and third-party advertising
This site may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Users in the EEA and UK may also be shown a consent prompt where required by law.
Advertising is served alongside the tool, not inside it. Ad networks do not receive the text you enter into the card, because that text never leaves your browser in the first place.
3. Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free aggregate analytics (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and understand which pages are useful. No personally identifying information is collected, and the names, line items and messages you type into the card are never included in analytics data.
4. Images you create
Exported PNGs are written straight to your device's downloads by your browser. We do not host, copy, upload or keep a record of any card you make. If you share a card, that is entirely your own action on whatever platform you share it to, and that platform's privacy policy applies to it — not this one.
5. Local storage and cookies we set
The tool itself sets no cookies and requires none to function. A page may read a preset from its own URL — for example the pet preset loading on the pet receipt page — but that is part of the page, not a stored identifier.
6. Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you sign up for or purchase a product through them. This never changes the price you pay, and it does not influence the tool's behaviour or the suggestions on any page. Where a page contains affiliate links we aim to make that clear on the page itself.
7. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the card maker will continue to work. You can also use the site with an ad blocker. This service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Parody output, not records
Cards made with Receipt Card Maker are entertainment. They are not receipts, not proof of purchase and not valid for returns, refunds, expenses or any financial claim, and every export is watermarked as parody. The reasoning is on the about page.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes will be reflected on this page rather than announced separately.
